I’m re-listening to this interview—very moving. I will read Danielle’s book. I am in year 10 after losing my youngest child suddenly. He was 30 and we thought we’d “made it” past the danger zone (because every parent thinks about this, right?). I wish I’d written, but the opposite happened—I quit journaling for so long. I agree that most of the things I read just didn’t help or resonate. I also found those friends who had the same thing happen. It’s a sadly larger community than I imagined but they became my best support, because they understood. Thank you for this interview❤️

Well done
Thank you for this.
Danielle’s book blew me away. I lost both of my daughters, so I can totally relate. https://regionalextensioncenter.blogspot.com/2026/05/this-new-book-by-danielle-crittenden.html
