The events of what happened leading up to the removal of the Farmers’ allegations from the Vanity Fair story are a large part of what the New Yorker story gets wrong.
Vicky...I found my way to you through the Audible podcast series. From the elevation and distance to New York, I can clearly see what the New Yorker got wrong in answer to your question: "what is the reason for their recent Chotiner article?" Simple ... to rehabilitate the reputation of Carter. I always ask if the motivation of someone is what they say, then, how would they behave. If Carter wanted to "get the facts" straight in pulling the Farmer part of the story, then, he could have sat down with you and explained his concerns. He did not do that because he felt the pressure from Epstein et al was more important to him. Now he has been fully exposed when more people are interested in the story, he wants a hit piece on you. Vicky, don't worry what people think that don't know you. Hang in there.
Between finding you and Jessica and the great pieces you both write here on sub stack. I don’t think I ever have to waste my money on Vanity Fair ever again.
look if you want the real poop gotta go back further epstein was wexners pimp and wexner and others were the wallet...after the fdic went belly up in 1987 another infamous businessman from ohio was in the mix his name was keating [charles keating] and his theft caused the south west regions of the usa banking system to blow up in 1987...Then came the saviour wexner epstein and associates to invest 1 trillion into the market after black friday...Part of a plan? both were from ohio....
well the government ordered a bail out of the fdic and the depostors in the dessert south west retrieved a few pennies more ...but the real winners were wexner/epstein and associates the stock changed, with in one year stocks bounced back up...and The cabal were as they say as rich as old king midas...wexner commissioned the largest yacht in the nation and epstein remained his ever loyal fixer in the back ground...victoria secrets bloomed and of course in those days america yuppydom was based on the golden rule those who have the gold make the rules! Was there sexual stuff ? Of course there was! Many were deviant before they were hailed as the rescuers of the american economy... Were they blessed ? They had cash to burn...and they did
Vicky, I’m SO sorry that you had to deal with a pedophile apologist boss while trying to expose great evil - And now a puppet “journalist” trying to call your integrity into question when you were the only one in the room that ever had any. Maddening - this is exactly why so many of us are coming over to Substack - so we can opt out of the boys club propaganda. I’m very grateful that you had sufficient strength and courage to persevere, whilst keeping all the receipts.
I just became a paid subscriber to support your work and hope many others will join me. Graydon Carter does not get to be a Jeffrey Epstein fanboy and emerge with his legacy in tact over here in polite society. These guys made their beds decades ago.
Fact is Graydon stifled a story that could’ve broken 13 years earlier. Let’s all do the math on how many more children were harmed as result of his immoral decisions. And he also can’t have his cake and eat it too. Like Jamie Dimon, he has to decide if he was the boss (corruption and cover up), or if everything was just happening on his watch (violation of fiduciary duty). The karma is on Graydon, who it seems had a bit of a crash actually…

Forgot to state the facts: elevation and distance of high up in Colorado.
