I wonder why she was in renal failure. Was it drugs or did she have some sort of medical issue that caused the failure? If her kids were taken away, maybe drug use was the reason? She may have been self medicating because of all that she had been through. I really feel for her. I’ve been SA’d 3 times, but that’s nothing compared to what she lived through.
This is a very sad & tragic story. How in just a few short years did she supposedly go off the deep end mentally? I always feared for her safety, especially being in the wide-open farm area of Australia.

There’s little doubt Virginia was a complex figure - that doesn’t mean she wasn’t a victim of abuse, but it does mean that her story requires sensitivity and nuance. Indeed, many of the issues raised, such as the extent to which those who are groomed can be held responsible for the abuse faced by others, are important and under-discussed.
Alan Dershowitz is the most vile creature (I was going to say human, but I know of no evidence suggesting he is any such thing) on Earth. He deserves 'long chain, deep water' treatment.
