Love the part about women’s lack of standing back in the founding father days. I just finished the historical novel A Founding Mother A Novel of Abigail Adams. She was a great believer in women’s rights!!! She accumulated a goodly bit of wealth while John was gone in Europe and continued increasing it even when he came back. She did it by going through a back door to make it work. She beseeched her husband to “remember the ladies”.
